So many foods bring back nostalgic memories for me. The flavor of these delightful scones remind me of the almond cookies we would get after a meal at Soo\u2019s Chinese Restaurant in Southwick, MA. One a month my family would take a little 40 minute trip from our home in Winsted, CT to Southwick, MA and I couldn\u2019t wait to taste the amonld cookies!<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">All the memories\u2026all the great flavor\u2026none of the guilt with these almond scones! I hope you LUV them!<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Dry ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul data-rte-list=\"default\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">2 cups fine almond flour<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">1\/3 cup Sweet LUV\u2122<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">1 tsp baking powder<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">1\/2 tsp fine salt<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">1\/4 tsp baking soda<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">6 Tbls cold butter cut into small chunks<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\">With a pastry cutter or your fingers cut butter into mixed dry ingredients. Be careful not to over blend or the scones will spread too thin in the oven.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Wet ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul data-rte-list=\"default\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">1\/4 cup heavy cream<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">1 egg beaten<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">1\/2 tsp almond extract (make sure it\u2019s GF)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\">Blend wet ingredients into dry. Divide batter into 8 tight round balls and top with<\/p>\n<ul data-rte-list=\"default\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">sliced almonds<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\">Refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes.
